A note from the directors; “We would like to wish you and your whole team a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and to express our sincere thanks for your loyal custom and for your role in the continued success of Emsea. It is because of your support that our company has expanded even further throughout 2016 and is now widely recognised as an industry leader in subcontracting solutions.”
Looking back at 2016 it has been a year full of firsts and achievements for Emsea.
A New Look
We kicked off 2016 with the launch of our new branding and website at Southern Manufacturing, Farnborough.
Visitors to the stand were the first to view the forward thinking new brand identity which reflects the company’s innovative turnkey solutions, whilst retaining the long standing values of exceptional customer service and quality.
Emsea Expanded
In May we expanded into our newly acquired fourth premises giving us an additional 7000 square feet. A brand new steel store has allowed for improved stock levels and faster turnaround times.
New Machinery, New Processes
To compliment this new floor space Emsea purchased a further Amada HFE 5020 7-axis control hydraulic CNC Press Brake, taking the total number to four.
Increasing staff levels by 25 percent, we also invested in new in-house processes to enhance our customer experience.
Emsea’s Woolly Jumper
After being approached by Retro Track & Air (UK) Ltd, Emsea sponsored our very own racing sheep, named ‘Wool-verine’ by the super hero mad children of director, Chris Sweet.
The Emsea sheep competed against other ewes in one of eight unique and riotous races at the Frampton races in September to raise money for Guy’s Trust Fund, supporting children with life limiting illnesses and their families.
“Exceptional” at Subcon
In June, our displayed workmanship was labelled as “exceptional” at Subcon, NEC. The show proved to be a huge success for us and we came away with plenty of new enquiries and even some new friends!
Making it in the Media
As we have continued to grow throughout 2016 we have attracted increased media attention and received a good range of PR coverage in publications such as The Engineer, Production Engineering Solutions and Architects Data File to name a few.
In addition Emsea Director, Chris Sweet, was selected to feature in ‘Defining Moments’ within MIX magazine to explore Emsea’s role within the Architecture and Design sector.
Looking forward to 2017…
Emsea sponsors Robot Wars
Robot Wars will be returning to our TV screens on BBC2 with Emsea’s work on proud display as we sponsor Team Shock and their new robot Aftershock. Whilst we can’t say much we can promise it will be worth a watch.
The Big Shows
Our complete range of subcontracting solutions will be on display at Southern Manufacturing, Farnborough 21-23 March 2017 on stand M128 and at Subcon, NEC 6-8 June 2017, stand D31.
We will be unveiling our new corporate video on our stand at Southern Manufacturing. Filming took place in December, by Onside, and tells the story of our turnkey solutions.
And more to come…
Despite our extensive expansion in 2016 we plan to expand further in 2017 – keep watching our blog for more details of new state of the art machinery!
So, in a nutshell, 2017 promises to be a very successful year for us at Emsea and we look forward to sharing it with you.
Happy Christmas once again!
