Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Manager (QHSE)

Purpose of the Role:

 The QHSE manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the existing ISO Quality System, investigating and recording quality non-conformances and takes the lead in root cause analysis and corrective actions 

This is role is split between office and shop floor 

Reports into: The Directors

 

• Ensure all staff are aware of and understand the companies Health, safety, and environmental policies. 

• Develop test systems and procedures to ensure quality standards are met 

• Complete drawing checks as required 

• Quality Inspection – FAI (First Article Inspection) and final inspection on a range of machined and fabricated components 

• Supervise Quality Inspectors 

• Monitor the entire cycle, looking for malfunctions and productivity issues 

• Update Quality Management Systems (QMS) with non -conformance. Record any incidents, repairs, and improvements 

• Communicate with customers via telephone and email to resolve any external quality issues 

• Prepare quality reports as required weekly/monthly

• Ensure all staff training is up to date and relevant records held on file 

• Ensure all necessary documentation is filed accordingly, accessible, and up to date 

• Implement any ISO changes as directed 

• Complete company fire drills as per schedule 

• Complete any customer or supplier questionnaires as required 

• First point of contact for external audit

Commercial Manager

Purpose of the Role:

 To lead the sales and quotation teams with the aim of growing all elements of the business. This will include liaising with existing customers to ensure that they are being managed appropriately, and finding new customers to develop future business 

Reports into: The Directors

 Key Responsibilities: 

 

• Setting key objectives for the sales and quotation teams which are aligned to the company’s objectives 

• Ensuring staff are maintaining business from existing customers by ensuring they are offering the best possible service 

• Helping the sales team to bring in business from new customers 

• Running regular one to ones with staff to ensure they are on target and have all the support they require 

• Reviewing and developing current operational processes to improve performance and maximise growth 

• Working together with relevant departments to identify how best to produce accurate and consistent quotes and orders 

• Maintaining the service level agreements for sales enquiries as set by the Company and looking for where improvements could be made 

• Ensuring the Sales and Quotation engineers are providing accurate and timely quotations, maximising sales opportunities, and processing orders effectively 

• Providing coaching where individual performance needs improvement 

• Liaising with the Directors to identify strategies for ensuring all Companies digital marketing activities are effective 

• Identify opportunities to develop new processes to further enhance the business 

• Running annual appraisals for all team members

CNC Setter/Operator (Milling and Turning)

Purpose of the Role:

 Perform CNC Milling and Turning of precision parts in various materials. 

Reports into: Machining Team Leader

 Key Responsibilities: 

 

 

• Achieving key objectives in programming, setting and operating Hurco CNC Milling and Turning machines 

• Producing precision parts with tight tolerances 

• Inspection of components produced to ensure specifications are met 

• Take an active role in continuous improvement and optimising work processes. 

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment 

Key Skills Required to be Effective: 

• Proven CNC experience, with a good understanding of machining principles 

• Knowledge of relative safety standards 

• Willingness to use protective clothing 

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings 

• Familiarity with Hurco Winmax CNC Control Systems
